Water Technology and Horti Culture Trade Mission to the Gulf Region

Are you involved in sustainable greenhouse construction or offering innovative solutions for water management, desalination, or water reuse in greenhouses? Join us in March 2024 on our trade mission to the Gulf region.

All Gulf states are ranked in the top 10 of countries most likely to face high water stress (water scarcity) by 2040. The six Gulf states are aware that they need to invest in food security and efficient water usage. Due to the desert climate and the scarcity of ground and surface water, there is limited agricultural and food production. As a result, the Gulf states depend on food imports for up to 90% of their needs.

The challenges in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia are complex. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia require technological water solutions as well as sustainable, high-tech greenhouse construction. There is a great deal of interest in the innovative solutions offered by Dutch companies.
