Would you like to do business in Thailand and Vietnam and are you working in the Life Science and Health industry in the Netherlands? The upcoming trade mission to Thailand and Vietnam, from 18 – 24 September 2016, is an excellent occasion to get familiar with the business opportunities in these countries.
This factfinding mission allows Dutch companies and research institutes to investigate the Life Science and Health industries in Thailand and Vietnam. The program includes authority and hospital visits in Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi (Binh Duong Province), and individual matchmaking. In Ho Chi Minh City the delegation will attend the Pharmedi, the largest trade fair for pharmaceuticals and medical devices in Vietnam. Based on your company profile, the Embassies in Bangkok and Hanoi define the mission program and match making schedules.
The mission is organized by handelsroute.nl, in close collaboration with the Royal Dutch Embassies in Bangkok and Hanoi, and is commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
Market opportunities in Vietnam:
Besides Vietnam’s opportunities as a medical production hub, its growing life sciences & health sector is becoming more and more interesting for Dutch entrepreneurs. Despite its challenges, business opportunities can be found in the (private) hospital, medical device and pharmaceuticals markets.
Thailand: A leading medical hub
Thailand is the second largest economy of Southeast Asia and one of the world’s leading medical hubs. Its well-equipped hospitals offer a wide variety of services and attract yearly over 2.5 million foreigners for medical treatment. The Thai health & life science industry also offers interesting business opportunities for Dutch companies, including on hospital design, medical devices and
pharmaceuticals.

Participation fee
Participation fee for the program is 450,- euro excl VAT.
The fee does not include your airline ticket and accommodation. A collective itinerary will be suggested by the organisation.
Registration
This trip can accommodate a maximum of 15 Dutch companies/ research institutes. You can register until 26 August, 2016.

Itinerary
The first two days of this trade mission we will visit organizations and authorities in Thailand. Following we will go to the Pharmedi conference in Ho Chi Minh City. And we will end our trip in the Vietnam capital of Hanoi.
The week will be filled with company visits, networking events and matchmaking appointments.
Prior to the trip on September 8, 2016 from 14.00-17.00 we will host an pre-mission briefing with information to prepare you for your trip. Participants will receive an invitation to attend.
Matchmaking
Matchmaking is an important part of the program and will be executed in collaboration with a local partners. The effectiveness of matchmaking depends on early registration and intake, active participation in match selection and providing us with relevant company information as soon as possible.
